Alfonso Camiñas-Muiña is a second year PhD student at the University of Miami at the Department of International Studies. He has received a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Florida, where he was also an adjunct professor at the Department of Romance Languages and Literature from 2006-2008. He interned at the American Foreign Policy council in 2007 in Washington DC. His areas of interest include current and future European Union relations with Latin America, with a focus on Cuban relations.
